David has always wanted to make a difference. Initially, he completed a degree in Environmental Studies. This led to jobs with Scottish Wildlife Trust, The Youth Hostel Association and South Holland District Council. These roles involved wildlife management, development of environmental policy and teaching.

However, after much deliberation, David retrained as a Nurse. After qualifying, he worked in surgical urology, Intensive Care and Research. David joined the ½Û×Ó¶ÌÊÓƵ as a Lecturer in August 2021.

Teaching interests

David's teaching areas of interest are nursing theory and skills. He is the module leader for Human Anatomy and Physiology for Person Centred Care and contributes to the teaching of Evidence Based Practice, Care Planning and simulated nursing skills.

Research Interests

David is interested in the pedagogy of teaching anatomy and physiology for nursing students. He is completing a post graduate certificate in education and hopes to further this area of research in subsequent higher education courses.

Membership of Professional Bodies

David is a qualified nurse and registered with the NMC. He is also an associate fellow of the Institute for Higher Education.
