Aimee Dawson urged others to “never give up on dreams, and never say never”, after achieving First Class Honours in her studies at the 桔子短视频.
Amy said: “If you’d have asked me at 16 to go to university I would have laughed and told you I’d never do it; that I wasn’t academic enough.
“I didn’t do very well in my first year at College, which resulted in me having to restart and move sixth form colleges, something that was a huge knock to confidence, but with a lot of encouragement and resilience I was able to bring myself up and finished Worcester Sixth Form with 2 Distinction stars in Business and IT and a C grade in A level use of Maths.”
Aimee said she “took a gamble” in going to university – one that paid off enormously.
“Although my journey isn’t the smoothest, it has shaped me into the person I am today and now I have achieved things I never thought I could,” she said. “During my first two years of university I was able to work part time at Argos and then I moved to Worcester Bosch for my internship which resulted in me getting a part time job during my final year before obtaining my current position at Hitachi Energy.”
Aimee added: “Sometimes the complicated stories end with the greatest results. Never give up on dreams, and never say never.”
Aimee is completing her three-year graduate apprenticeship withing Hitachi Energy’s Quality and Continuous Improvement department.
“Already in the first three months within this company I have been offered a new job where I have gone from covering a European level, into a Global level, something I am thoroughly looking forward to starting,” she said.
